Maha Mrityunjaya Puja is offered to Bhagwan SHIV for seeking his blessings. The Mrityunjaya Mantra is taken from Rig Vedas. Meaning of Mrityunjaya Mantra is ---- " a three eyed God Bhagwan Shiv is protecting all the living things on this earth from the negative energy and incidents". It is also called the Rudra Puja. Rudra is a fierce incarnation of God Shiva.
